What’s been happening:

After receiving my BS Degree in Fuels Technology I stayed on to receive an MS in Mineral Preparation Engineering from Penn State. Following a short stint with Metropolitan Edison I joined Combustion Engineering (CE), where I spent the rest of my career. I was instrumental in creating a Fuels Technology department in CE's Research Laboratory, which I managed for a number of years. I then moved into a Project Management position for combustion/emissions-related projects, some of which involved large scale field testing. Among my memorable moments at CE were being a co-inventor of CE's very successful Low NOx Concentric Firing System and receiving ASME's Percy Nicholls award. I married the former Linda Davis in 1964 and we had two children - Marla and Rich, both of whom are now married and live within an easy driving distance. Marla has presently blessed us with 5 grandchildren. Linda and I enjoyed a number of overseas vacations, which were tacked on to my business trips; we're now focusing on visiting places within the U.S. One of my passions has been owning a Porsche sports car. Linda and I have organized two-day touring events for the CT Valley Region of the Porsche Club of America for the better part of 20 years, this year being our finale with a turnout of 120 people. We enjoy our country home here in Somers, CT and still enjoy the four seasons of New England.
